Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants Promotes Two From Hotel Monaco Denver to Regional Positions

Denver, CO - July 29, 2013 - Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, a collection of boutique hotels and chef-driven restaurants in the U.S., announced today the promotion of two individuals from Hotel Monaco Denver to Mountain region positions.

General Manager, Von de Luna, will now serve as the Director of Operations for the Mountain region overseeing operations for three Kimpton hotels including Hotel Monaco Denver, Sky Hotel in Aspen and Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City. In addition, the current Director of Sales & Marketing, Beth Harty, has been named the new Area Director of Sales & Marketing for the entire Mountain region.

As General Manager of Hotel Monaco Denver for four and a half years, de Luna has been recognized for providing excellent service for both Cornerstone and Kimpton hotels throughout the country. In his new position, de Luna will continue to serve as General Manager of Hotel Monaco Denver, but will oversee operations for the Sky Hotel in Aspen and the Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City.

For the last seven years, Beth Harty has been a dedicated member of the hospitality business. Starting her career as a Reservation Coordinator at the Magnolia hotel in downtown Denver, Harty worked her way up to the Director of Sales. In 2005, Harty joined the Kimpton and Hotel Monaco Denver communities as the Director of Sales & Marketing. In her new role as Area Director of Sales & Marketing, Harty will continue to oversee sales and marketing at Hotel Monaco Denver and the Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City.

Prior to joining Hotel Monaco Denver as its General Manager in January 2009, de Luna served as General Manager for Hotel Burnham for two and a half years. Hotel Burnham is recognized as a landmark boutique hotel with "big city energy." Located in downtown Chicago, Hotel Burnham is recognized as a world-class hotel, offering exceptional customer service and amenities to their guests. He also served as the general manager of Hotel Madera located in Washington D.C.

Beth Harty started her hospitality career at the C Lazy U Ranch in Granby, Colo., where she spent her summers working as a waitress and a horseback riding guide living out the true Colorado western lifestyle. Shortly after graduating from Denison University, Harty decided to relocate from Ohio and start her career as a Reservation Coordinator with the Magnolia Hotel in downtown Denver. Harty worked as a Sales Coordinator, Sales Manager and finally the Director of Sales. In 2005, Harty joined Kimpton and the Hotel Monaco Denver.
