First Hospitality Group, Inc. Announces Development of 156-Room Hilton Garden Inn Hotel in Louisville
Project will keep the needs of millennial travelers top of mind during construction
ROSEMONT, IL - July 11, 2013 - Rosemont, Illinois-based First Hospitality Group, Inc. (FHG) announced plans today to construct a brand new Hilton Garden Inn hotel in downtown Louisville, Ky., in the Clay Commons District, with a scheduled opening in the summer of 2014. First Hospitality Group, Inc. President and COO Robert Habeeb made the announcement.
The eight-story, 109,900 sq. ft. hotel will contain 156 guest rooms and will take advantage of a shared courtyard and a 300 car parking garage located adjacent to the property. A rooftop bar and restaurant will be located on the eighth floor of the hotel, featuring unique food and beverage concepts with an open-air patio and several meeting rooms. Not only will FHG manage the property, they are serving as an investment partner to local developer, City Properties, on the project as well.

In addition to being located within the Clay Commons District, which also features a celebrated park and the historic Henry Clay ballroom and Wright Taylor building, the hotel will also be within walking distance of the Palace Theatre, Louisville Medical Center, Kentucky International Convention Center, and numerous restaurants, fitness centers, shops, markets, the Waterfront Park and Louisville Slugger stadium.
