West Harrison, NY - June 21, 2013 - The Renaissance Westchester Hotel has been completely reinvented, it was announced today by Peter Maruzzella, Director of Sales & Marketing.
According to Mr. Maruzzella, the six-month renovation of the 36-year-old hotel cost $13 million. The sophisticated property now features an intriguing design with indigenous details, state-of-the-art technology, and re-imagined spaces that have been adapted to the way people travel and socialize today.
Guests will notice the new look of the hotel from the moment they step through the doors into the innovative and open lobby designed to make socializing, working, and eating easy. With semi-private nooks, tables to gather, TVs and wireless Internet, cool colors, polished woods, and intricate stonework, this is the perfect place for social gatherings and impromptu meetings. The front desk has also been redesigned with sleek lighting, detailed woodwork, and more flexible space.
The hotel is also now home to the new Hive Living Room + Bar, featuring American cuisine with locally sourced ingredients prepared by award-winning Chef Jean-Claude Lanchais. The atmosphere is one of an urban barn, with warm woods, diffused lighting, and a variety of communal tables, booths and tables that create a unique and serene ambiance reminiscent of the surrounding landscape.
Each of the hotel's 347 guest rooms and 6 suites have been completely redone to create stylish new havens which feature a serene color palate that brings the outside in. Wireless high-speed Internet access, an ample desk area, and a 42" flat panel TV enables guests to work or play with ease. The new bathrooms have sleek white tile, rich dark woods, and a soft lighting palate.
And finally, the meeting space features the addition of the new Harrison Ballroom (2,080 square feet with 9-foot ceilings) and Hudson Room (1,240 square feet with 10-foot ceilings). The new ballroom features an intriguing and elegant design and overlooks the beautiful wooded landscape with floor-to-ceiling windows so attendees will feel like they are part of nature. The Harrison Ballroom can host up to 180 guests banquet style and the Hudson room can accommodate up to 90 guests.
