First Hospitality Group, Inc. Hires General Managers at Two Illinois Hotels
June 19, 2013 - Rosemont, IL-based First Hospitality Group, Inc., (FHG) announced today the hiring of general managers at two of its Illinois properties: Robert Ekelmann at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Lincolnshire, and Chris Huber at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Peoria. First Hospitality Group, Inc. President and COO Robert Habeeb made the announcement.
As general managers, Ekelmann and Huber are responsible for every aspect of the hotels' operations including staffing, training sales, guest satisfaction, marketing, maintenance and finances.

Huber has more than 10 years of experience in hospitality management, working as a general manager for Wyndham, Marriott and La Quinta brands. Most recently he served as the general manager at the Comfort Inn Westport in St. Louis. He is a strong leader with extensive hotel management expertise in property renovation, business development, and market analysis.
Ekelmann also joins the FHG team with more than 10 years of hospitality management experience in leadership roles at hotels in Georgia, Arizona and Illinois. He most recently served as the general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott in West Des Moines, Iowa. He has been recognized in past positions for his leadership style which centers on effective training, team-building and quality.
