BATON ROUGE, LA - May 6, 2013 - Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel, developed by Wampold Companies of Baton Rouge, La., recently received the prestigious “Food and Beverage Hotel of the Year 2012” Award from Davidson Hotels & Resorts. The award was presented at the Annual Davidson Hotels & Resorts Conference held this year at the Hilton Alexandria Hotel in Alexandria, Virginia.

The Renaissance Baton Rouge Team was selected for the honor from nearly 50 Davidson properties throughout the U.S., Hawaii and District of Columbia. The winning team is led by General Manager, Bob Mercer; Hotel Manager, Joy Harringa; Executive Chef Andy Papson; Banquet Manager, Scott Brown; Outlets Manager, Stephen Boyd; with support from the entire Renaissance Hotel staff. The hotel was recognized for revenues exceeding budget for its first full year of opening; exciting new promotions and marketing of the hotel and its casual upscale restaurant, Tallulah; and its full implementation of Renaissance's RLife LIVE arts & entertainment platform.

Since opening in October 2011, the 256-room Baton Rouge luxury hotel has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the coveted AAA Four-Diamond Award, the Trip Advisor® Certificate of Excellence and Marriott's “Best New Product” Award.
