Loews Philadelphia Hotel Completes $14 Million Guest Room Renovation

Larger work desks, additional power sources and brighter colors all part of the luxury hotel's overhaul of guest rooms and suites

PHILADELPHIA - April 10, 2013 - The Loews Philadelphia Hotel, once known as the historic Philadelphia Saving Fund Society building (PSFS), is pleased to announce the completion of its three-month, $14 million guestroom renovation.

Since opening in 2000, we have been committed to retaining the immense historical value of our property and this updated transformation does just that.”

The restyled rooms are designed with today's need to be constantly connected in mind. Increased wifi capabilities, larger work desk areas paired with modern, leather ergonomic guest chairs, and an abundance of more easily accessible electric outlets have been added to all 581 guest rooms to accommodate both leisure and business travelers.

In addition to the magnificent views that Loews Philadelphia Hotel is known for, the new freshly-painted rooms are now brighter as a result of new wall coverings, draperies, duvet covers, lamps and vibrant cityscape artwork. New bold hues of black, white and red accentuate the original black and white marble located throughout the property. Additionally the hotel converted existing space into 10 family-friendly

parlor suites, each featuring a murphy bed and connecting guest room perfect for families traveling with children or business travelers who require a bit of extra space.

Renovated and reopened as the Loews Philadelphia Hotel in April 2000, the former PSFS building is the city's tallest hotel. With the original PSFS sign still illuminated atop the 33rd

floor, the architectural marvel continues to be a recognizable symbol of Philadelphia and its great history. Many of the historical features of the former PSFS building remain preserved in the hotel, including the bank's safe, Cartier clocks and many pieces of furniture. Today the property features more than 45,000 square feet of meeting space including three ballrooms and 14 conference rooms, and unparalleled city views
