Downtown Disney(R) Appoints New Food and Beverage Executives
ORLANDO, FL, September 11, 2006. The Hotel Plaza Association, the governing body for the Downtown Disney(R) Resort Area Hotels a consortium of seven hotels in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., recently announced the addition of several food and beverage executives.
Michael Cusimano joins the Doubletree Guest Suites, the only all-suite resort hotel in Walt Disney World(R) Resort area, as their director of food and beverage. He carries more than 26 years of industry experience and comes to the Doubletree Guest Suites from the Marriott Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort and Spa in Birmingham, Ala., where he served as their director of catering and event management. Additionally, Cusimano served as a banquet captain at the Walt Disney World(R) Dolphin.
Gamalier Burgos is the new executive chef at the Doubletree Guest Suites. Burgos has more than 15 years experience in fine cuisine preparation at Florida resort hotels and restaurants. Prior to joining the Doubletree Guest Suites, Burgos, a member of the American Culinary Federation, served as chef in training at the Sawgrass Marriott Resort in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., and executive chef at the Radisson World Gate Resort in Kissimmee, Fla.
Johan Lindholm has been hired by the Hilton Resort as director of food and beverage. He joins the Hilton Resort with 19 years experience in hospitality management. Before coming to the Hilton Resort, Lindholm served as director of food and beverage for the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines and Hilton Pittsburgh. He holds an undergraduate degree from Florida State University and a masters from Loyola University in New Orleans, La.
