Courtyard by Marriott Tampa Downtown Greets Guests wth a Brand New Look

Newly renovated public spaces will enable guests to eat, drink and connect

. August 09, 2012

August 9, 2012 - Just in time for the upcoming Republican National Convention, Courtyard by Marriott® Tampa Downtown has unveiled its new Courtyard Refreshing Business conversion. The renovation features a completely redesigned lobby space with The Bistro® featuring Starbucks® coffee, available to guests and the public.

The Courtyard dining experience has been transformed to The Bistro®—Eat. Drink. Connect. The new restaurant offers simple, healthy breakfast and dinner options in a casual environment with comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. The Bistro® is a great option for those on the go, with convenient walk up access from Cass Street. Freshly prepared wraps, salads and sandwiches are just a few offerings of the new cafe. An all-new, full-service bar has also been incorporated into the expanded lobby space, featuring beer, wine and mixed drinks.

The open new Courtyard lobby welcomes guests with vivid contrasting colors. The traditional front desk has been replaced with separate welcome pedestals to allow more personal interactions at check-in. Flexible seating options range from public to quiet, semi-enclosed areas, and a welcoming outdoor experience has been revitalized, with a comfortable outdoor lounging oasis in the middle of downtown Tampa.

“With the completion of our new lobby and Bistro restaurant, our hotel has received a whole new look, including renovated guest rooms,” explained General Manager Greg Brooks . “We look forward to incorporating all of these components to provide a positive guest experience for those attending the RNC and our future guests.”

A signature element of the new lobby is the exclusive GoBoard® technology, a 52-inch high-definition LCD that invites guests to navigate the touch screen to find directions and information about nearby restaurants and area attractions. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel, and guests will find ample electrical outlets in public spaces to power digital devices. The robust business library features computer terminals to review flight schedules, print airline boarding passes, check email or surf the web.

A newly renovated meeting area is also available for use by hotel guests and the public, including one executive boardroom and an additional meeting room. On-site catering is available.

Courtyard by Marriott® Tampa Downtown is located at 102 E Cass St, Tampa, FL 33602. Other features of the hotel include complimentary shuttle (2-mile radius), 24-hour on-site fitness center, and outdoor heated pool and whirlpool.
