HERNDON, VA - March 13. 2012 - Corporate Housing Providers Association (CHPA) announced BridgeStreet won the 2012 Tower of Excellence awards for Best Green Progress and Creative Marketing Program of the Year.

For seven straight years, BridgeStreet has taken home CHPA awards and now has 11 consecutive awards from the esteemed trade association exclusively dedicated to supporting corporate housing providers around the world. BridgeStreet now has earned two Tower of Excellence awards for its creative marketing program, the company also won in 2006. This year marks the first green progress win for the global residence provider. The award recognizes BridgeStreet's environmentally conscious actions, as highlighted by the company's green initiative program over the last four years.

BridgeStreet launched the SimplyGreenSM philosophy in 2008, resulting in a six percent reduction of carbon dioxide emissions. SimplyGreenSM outlines BridgeStreet's commitment to promote environmental best practices without compromising guest satisfaction. The latest SimplyGreenSM initiative, Green Fleet, promotes fuel-efficient driving techniques and encourages more energy-efficient vehicles, while reducing mileage and the number of journeys. Since implementation, it has resulted in an 18.2 percent reduction in carbon dioxide emissions.

“We are honored and thrilled to receive these awards from CHPA and to earn the distinction of the most progressive green provider in the corporate housing industry,” said Lee Curtis, president of BridgeStreet. “Unique solutions, such as our SimplyGreenSM philosophy and Green Fleet program, contributed to our goal to reduce greenhouse gas emission. It is extremely gratifying to be honored for our commitment to promote and maintain environmentally responsible practices.”

To date, CHPA has recognized BridgeStreet for 11 awards in six different categories, including Company of the Year, Provider Member of the Year and Best Community and Philanthropic programs.

“Our commitment to the environment and sustainability is not lip service. Our BridgeStreet Brand Ambassadors work hard every day to execute this,” added Sean Worker, CEO of BridgeStreet. “This is another step towards our mission of being the leader in our niche market of the hospitality industry.”
