The California Lodging Industry Association's 65th Anniversary Dinner & Award Winners

Sacramento, CA - California Lodging Industry Association (CLIA) members and vendors from all across California gathered together to celebrate their 65th Anniversary. This is a milestone event for the 1,020 member strong statewide association that includes: 714 lodging properties, 124 associate members, and hundreds of education, tourism, restaurant, professionals and vacation rental properties. Outgoing 2011 board members were recognized with a roaring round of applause and the 2012 board of directors were installed.

2011 CLIA Annual Award Recipients included:

  • 2011 Scholarship to Christopher Delfs, Collins School of Hospitality, Cal State Pomona.
  • The 2011 Marin Management, Inc. Excellence In Lodging & Hospitality Award for the Outstanding Lodging Person Award was presented to Emily Eckhart of Seacrest Oceanfront Hotel.
  • 2011 Herzog Insurance Services Excellence In Lodging & Hospitality Award for the Outstanding Lodging Property Award was presented to the Chardonnay Lodge owned by Kiran and Nalin Patel

The California Lodging Industry Association (CLIA) is in it's 65th year serving and protecting the bottom-line of independent lodging owners, managers, professionals and vendors. Over the years, CLIA legislative advocates have worked diligently to enact laws that protect the industry from unscrupulous operators and those who would knowingly defraud innkeepers.
