Auberge Resorts Appoints Tony DiLucia as GM of 94-room Hotel Jerome in Aspen, CO
Mill Valley, CA - November 17, 2011 - Auberge Resorts announced today that Tony DiLucia will return to Aspen's famed Hotel Jerome as General Manager when the company assumes management of the hotel in November just in time for ski season. DiLucia was long considered the heart and soul of Hotel Jerome during his previous 15-year tenure as General Manager, which ended in 2007 when Rock Resorts took over management. Since then, the former Leading Hotels of the World Hotelier of the Year for North America served as a partner in Aspen Associates Realty Group, engaged in real estate investment and development projects throughout Colorado.
“We couldn't be more thrilled that Tony will be returning to Hotel Jerome,” said Eric Calderon, Chief Operating Officer of Auberge Resorts and formerly with Aspen's The Little Nell. “He is such a respected member of the Aspen community and knows this hotel better than anyone, which made extending an offer to him a very easy decision. He was, without a doubt, our top choice.”
“My affection for Hotel Jerome and genuine appreciation for its place in Aspen history also made this a very easy decision for me,” said DiLucia “Auberge Resorts' vision for the hotel perfectly complements my own, and I look forward to forging ahead with this new partnership.”
Known as one of the great hotels of the American West since its opening in 1889, the AAA Four Diamond Award-winning Aspen landmark is ideally situated in the heart of town and features 94 guest rooms and suites offering stunning mountain views, multiple dining venues, a fitness center and spa. The hotel joins a collection of award-winning Auberge properties renowned for their spectacular settings, extraordinary restaurants and spas and highly personal service. Under Auberge's management, updates will include selective enhancements to the service and decor at the Jerome, in addition to a refresh of its spa and culinary programs.
An avid supporter of many Aspen area non-profits, DiLucia is a board member of the Aspen Community Foundation. He is the past president of the board of trustees of the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet and previously served on the Aspen Historical Society board. Prior to moving to Aspen for his first position at the Hotel Jerome, DiLucia graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, where he currently serves as a Fellow.
