Christoph Voegeli Named GM of Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa, Langkawi
Singapore - 31 October 2011 - Meritus Hotels & Resorts (MHR), the hospitality division of Singapore Exchange-listed Overseas Union Enterprise (OUE), is pleased to announce the appointment of Christoph Voegeli as General Manager of the award-winning Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa, Langkawi - Meritus' flagship resort in Malaysia.
Christoph joins Meritus Hotels & Resorts following his assignment with the InterContinental Hotels Group as General Manager of Holiday Inn Melaka. He brings with him extensive experience in operations and management of five-star hotels and resorts around Asia, to include amongst others Swiss-Belhotel International's Hanoi Horison Hotel, Aerowisata's Hotel Sanur Beach in Bali, Rembrandt Hotel and Towers in Bangkok, and Carlton Hotel Singapore.
His impressive track record demonstrates his strong drive for Total Quality Management, People Development, Internet Sales and Revenue Management, having consistently achieved notable wins for properties that were under his leadership.

Christoph began his hospitality career with InterContinental hotels in Luxembourg and Switzerland, respectively. A German national, he received his Diploma in Hotel Management from Hotelis Hotelfachschule Sudliche Weinstrasse in Germany, and completed his MBA studies from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia.
