Carla Rizzo Named Boston-Based Sales Manager for Ocean Edge Resort & Club on Cape Cod
BREWSTER, MA, August 9, 2005. Newly renovated Ocean Edge Resort & Club on Cape Cod is pleased to announce the appointment of Carla Rizzo as its new Boston-based Sales Manager. Rizzo will oversee all sales operations in the greater Boston area and surrounding region.
The premier seaside resort on Cape Cod, Ocean Edge boasts an impressive array of luxury accommodations, an 18-hole PGA Championship golf course, a USPTA-certified tennis facility, and a 700-foot private beach on Cape Cod Bay. Prior to joining Ocean Edge, Rizzo held a wide range of executive sales positions in and around Boston, including helping to build strategic marketing programs for Fortune 100 companies. Most recently, she spent a year as Director of Sales for the Boston Home Book and Massachusetts Design Index for Reed Business Information, beginning in November 2002. Before that, Rizzo worked for Key3Media Events as District Sales Manager (1999-2000), National Sales Manager (2000-2002), and Strategic Sales Manager (2002), overseeing on the COMDEX account, the largest trade event in the world for over two decades. Her initial sales experience came during five years with The Chickering Group, a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based insurance brokerage specializing in student health insurance, from which she departed as National Sales Manager in 1999.
A native of Boston, Rizzo, 37, received a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science from Westfield State College in 1990. She currently resides in Boston.
