Carl Leander Joins Turning Stone as CTO
SEPTEMBER 7, 2006. Turning Stone Software, provider of software design and development contract services, announced today the appointment of hospitality industry technology veteran Carl Leander as Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Leander brings proven talent to the role and will lead the technical expertise in all aspects of Turning Stone's customer projects and operations.
Carl most recently held the position of Director of Development - Daylight Products at Newmarket International after the company acquired his former employer of ten years, Daylight Software. At Daylight, Carl was Vice President of Development, where he led the technical team that developed the award winning Daylight enterpriseTM, arguably recognized as the most feature-rich, flexible and well architected sales and catering system in the industry.
Debbie Leander, President of Turning Stone Software, is thrilled by the announcement. 'I worked side by side with Carl for over ten years at Daylight, and I am excited to be working with him again,' she said. Carl and Debbie were both on the executive team at Daylight Software. A key part of Daylight's growth and success, they helped to raise industry standards in the sales and catering automation niche to new heights. Under their leadership, the company developed a reputation for providing superior customer service and delivering high quality products quickly that met the user community's needs precisely.
Carl's experience and expertise also extend beyond the hospitality industry. Prior to his involvement with Daylight, he worked for Shaw Data Systems, where he was a key architect and developer of many of the company's mission critical financial service software applications used by investment managers, mutual funds, banks, and plan sponsors in North America, Europe, and Asia.
