Magnolia Hotel Houston Makes Changes in the Sales Department

June 29, 2010 - John R. Remmers, general manager for Magnolia Hotel Houston, recently announced a number of promotions and new hires in the hotel's sales department. Jennifer Kasprzak was promoted to director of sales, Jared Williams was promoted to corporate sales manager and Judi Lina was hired as conference services and events manager.

After being hired a year ago as corporate sales manager, Kasprzak's hard work in the sales department was recognized with a promotion to oversee the whole department. Kasprzak has been in the hospitality industry for more than five years and prior to working for Magnolia, held sales positions with Hilton Hotels.

Williams has held a number of positions in both sales and operations departments throughout his career in the hospitality industry. He was promoted from sales and events manager to corporate sales manager at Magnolia Hotel Houston where he's been employed for more than a year. Prior to working for Magnolia, Williams worked for the Hotel Derek and Renaissance Hotel in Houston.

The most recent hire in the sales department is Judi Lina who was brought on as a conference services and events manager. She joins the property from Safari Texas Ranch where she was a sales manager and event coordinator. Her background in the hospitality industry also includes working for the Grand Hyatt San Antonio where she was a convention services manager.
