Tony Mira Appointed GM of Ritz-Carlton Golf & Spa Resort

ROSE HALL, JAMAICA - June 24, 2010 - Tony Mira has been appointed general manager of The Ritz-Carlton Golf & Spa Resort, Rose Hall, Jamaica, announced Marco Selva, Area Vice President of the Southern Region for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C.

Mira brings a wealth of experience complemented by a strong leadership background to the position after serving in the hospitality industry for over 32 years. Mira served as general manager at the Renaissance St. Louis Airport in Missouri, the Oakbrook Hotel Chicago, Illinois and The Stouffer Hotel, Battle Creek, Michigan. He joined The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in 2006 as general manager for The Ritz-Carlton, Dearborn.
Mira attended Oklahoma State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality and Restaurant Management. After college, Mira embarked on his hospitality career where he worked as the senior assistant manager of the rooms division at the Westin in Detroit. He went on to hold many leadership positions at several hotels including the assistant general manager position at the Westin in Chicago, Illinois as well as the Renaissance in Washington D.C.
