JANUARY 5, 2007. The new Spa at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, which opened November 1, has garnered rave reviews from resort guests and club members alike. The Spa boasts 30,000 square feet, making it the largest such facility in North Florida.
The Spa's sophisticated interiors exude warmth, elegance and grandeur. Here, natural materials such as mahogany, rattan, bamboo, limestone and granite blends with a color palate of sea grass, mint green and caramel to create an overwhelming sensation of calm. Ceiling heights, soaring from 18 to 30 feet, add to the wonderful sense of volume and space.
Spa features include twenty-two treatment rooms (including two for couples), a full service hair and nail salon, luxurious locker rooms, outdoor pool with therapy grottos, a 40-seat spa dining room and a retail boutique. With a nod to its growing male clientele, the Spa at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club has introduced a barbershop that features an old-fashioned barber chair which allows the gents to enjoy a traditional shave and haircut. Effective immediately, the Spa at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club will affiliate with local plastic surgeons, Dr. John Harris and Dr. Mark Freeman, to offer spa guests non-invasive, aesthetic medical services. This alliance makes Ponte Vedra Inn & Club one of the few resorts in the country to blend traditional spa pampering with a medical component. Among the new procedures offered by The Spa will be BOTOX(R) Cosmetic, laser hair removal, lip and wrinkle fillers and photo facials.
