Stanford Continues to Expand Executive Team
Company makes multiple executive additions in recent months; most recent appoinment is VP Food & Bev
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, August 9, 2006. Stanford Hotels Corp., a San Francisco-based company specializing in the management, ownership and development of full-service hotels, has actively been growing its executive team in the past few months, most recently hiring Kevin Batters as vice president of food and beverage.
In his new position, Batters will collaborate with hotel staff at all of Stanford's properties, to find new ideas and unique ways to offer food and beverage.
"Kevin will act as a conduit for Stanford Hotels and the properties in our portfolio. He will strive to find new and exciting ways to better catering and banquet functions, improve consistency and quality, as well as provide excellent service and increase business at all of our 16 hotels," said Senior Vice President of Operations Clyde Guinn. "This appointment reflects Stanford's commitment to acquiring great talent within the hospitality industry."
A 40-year veteran of the hotel industry, Kevin Batters joins the Stanford Hotels team from his most recent post as General Manager of the Hilton Anchorage in Alaska. While there, Batters was responsible for all operations of the 605-room hotel and oversaw the food and beverage department.
Prior to that position he was acting general manager at the Hilton Charlotte and Towers in Charlotte, N.C. He has also held posts at the Hilton Washington D.C. where he was resident manager and at the Atlanta Hilton and Towers where he acted as director of food and beverage.
Batters began his career as a trainee in a management program at the London Hilton and advanced over the years to various positions, including banquet supervisor, restaurant manager and director of food and beverage at numerous Hilton properties around the world.
Batters has been on the Board of American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) representing Alaska, Vice Chairman of the Alaska Hotel and Lodging Association, Board Member of the A.C.V.B and Anchorage Downtown Partnership. He is a graduate of Westminster College, London and a former professional soccer player.
