Loews Debuts Lake Las Vegas Resort

HENDERSON, NV, December 12 2006. Loews Hotels announces the opening of the company's first property in Nevada under the leadership of seasoned hotelier and intuitive resort manager, Dale T. McDaniel, who will serve as managing director. In his new position, McDaniel will introduce Loews Hotels branded services and amenities, which exceed AAA Four Diamond standards to delight guests with a supremely comfortable, uniquely local and vibrant travel experience.

Prior to moving to Loews Lake Las Vegas, McDaniel was general manager of Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando, a Loews hotel. McDaniel has been with Loews Hotels since 2002 and was instrumental in the record-setting opening of the third on-site hotel at Universal Orlando Resort. Under McDaniel's leadership, the hotel earned the AAA Four Diamond Award, Connoisseur's Choice Award from Resorts & Great Hotels, as well as the Gold Key award from Meetings & Conventions magazine and the Pinnacle Award from Successful Meetings magazine.

Upgrades and planned changes to the property, under McDaniel's leadership include:

---|A name change for the resort's highly regarded Japanese fine dining restaurant. Formerly Japengo, it will now be called Marssa. Celebrated Master Chef Fuji will continue to lead the culinary team

---|Addition of 42" flat screen televisions and updated bathroom amenities in all guest rooms and suites

---|Renovation of 13 suites and casbahs

---|Enhanced landscaping and updating of pool decks, cabanas, terraces and lake-side fire pit

---|Renovation of ballroom space on hotel's main level (formerly Casino Baraka)

---|Soft goods enhancement in Caf'e Tajine and Marrakesh dining outlets

In addition, Loews will introduce:

--New service standards such as morning housekeeping and evening turndown service, which will create a significantly more luxurious guest experience.

---|Loews Loves Kids, a Loews signature program featuring a fully supervised Kids Camp for children between 3 and 12, as well as a wide range of services and amenities for traveling families.

---|Activities and adventures explore the Southwest desert and Loews' exclusive partnership with Fisher-Price adds a new element of fun.

---|Loews Loves Pets, featuring special perks for pets such as gourmet room service, specialized bedding, a pet amenity and guest services designed to make pets and owners feel right at home.

---|Breakfast at Loews, a branded breakfast program featuring custom-shaken juices and specialty French press coffee

To celebrate the acquisition of the former Hyatt Regency, Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort introduces special opening rates from Dec. 9 - 31, 2006, ranging from $199 for a Resort View room to $279 for an Alcove Suite; from Jan. 1 - April 30, 2007, rates range from $199 for a Resort View room to $299 for an Alcove Suite. In addition the resort will offer a special New Year's "Rockin Moroccan Eve" celebration which includes a "Rockin The Casbah" package for $7,007 which will include transportation to the Las Vegas strip in a Hummer Limo and deluxe accommodations in one of the resort's casbah suites.

Situated on 21 acres of lakefront property, Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort is the centerpiece of the nearly 4,000 -acre Lake Las Vegas Resort community in Henderson, Nev., whose temperate climate makes it an ideal year-round destination for group and leisure travelers.
