HSI Announces General Release of Profit Series POS Version 7.06

NOVEMBER 22, 2006. Hospitality Solutions International (HSI), a division of MICROS Systems, Inc., and a leading software developer, today announced the release of its flagship product, Profit Series Point of Sale (POS) version 7.06.

This latest release presents fresh new graphics throughout the GUI, added enhancements to HSI's existing web order interface and break law compliance features. New additions include an optional identification number prompt for payments, suggested tips on guest checks, a new report to track sales of selected items for a period, and support for IP printing through Epson printers.

HSI continues to improve on the interface for orders placed through the internet by offering two types of notes that can be attached to guest checks and are automatically printed through Profit Series. These notes can be used to distinguish guests when they arrive at the restaurant by providing an order identification or details about the guest's car. A second type of note can be used to provide custom modifications to menu items as they are prepared in the kitchen. Providing two types of notes allows a high level of flexibility for both the web ordering vendors as well as merchants.

HSI extends the break law compliance feature by providing customizable warning alerts which can be configured to inform or require employees to take a break within their designated break periods. Additional reporting has also been added to show which employees were in violation of their break alerts and includes a signature line for employee acceptance.

Other features include the ability to prompt for an identification number for specified payment types. For example, a merchant may want to enter a driver's license number when accepting a personal check. The data is stored with the transaction and a report can be generated for all payments taken with an identification number.

The suggested tip feature prints recommended tip amounts on a check closed to a credit card. Up to 5 pre-set suggestions can be printed with customizable titles. Optionally, discounts and comps may be included in the tip percentage calculation.

Support for IP based printing to Epson TM-U220 series printers has been added to complement HSI's existing Wireless and USB based printing solutions.
