Susan Clay Joins Deer Creek as Director of Sales and Marketing

MOUNT STERLING, OH, November 14, 2006. Deer Creek Resort & Conference Center, one of central Ohio's most popular conference and meeting destinations, today announced Susan Clay has been selected to serve as the property's new director of sales and marketing.

"Susan's extensive management experience in the travel and hospitality industries will be an asset to the property's sales and marketing efforts," said Jeff Weggeman, vice president of sales and marketing for ARAMARK Harrison Lodging, Deer Creek Resort & Conference Center's managed service provider.

Prior to joining Deer Creek Resort & Conference Center, Clay served as the catering and sales manager at the Ohio State University Faculty Club/Barrister Club. While there she was responsible for implementing sales and action steps for the Club's opening as well as growing the wedding business by 50 percent. Clay has also served in a director level capacity for Crowne Plaza National Airport, Club Corporation of America and Embassy Suites Hotel.

Currently Clay is the vice president of membership for the National Association of Catering Executives and has also held board positions with the International Special Events Society and the Central Ohio Restaurant Association. Clay earned a bachelor of science degree from Florida State University.
