The New Oceanfront Property is Scheduled to Open in December 2007
NOVEMBER 9, 2006. Barcelo Hotels & Resorts announces that construction is underway on a fifth luxury property at its expansive all- inclusive resort complex -- The Barcelo Maya Beach Resort in Mexico. The newest hotel at the resort is oceanfront and will include 756 all-suite luxury guestrooms. It is scheduled to welcome guests in December of 2007. Recently, the Resort announced the addition of a new European style Spa complex which will open next month for the 2006-2007 winter season.
"The newest hotel at the Barcelo Maya Beach Resort is a reflection of growing demand for luxury accommodations at our popular resort," said Fiona Taylor, Director of Sales and Marketing for North America, Barcelo Hotels & Resorts. "The Barcelo Maya Beach Resort has developed a wonderful reputation as a beautiful hotel with exceptional amenities and services for individual travelers as well as group meetings. The addition of the newest hotel will insure that we can meet the growing guest demand and continue to fulfill our promise of first class accommodations," added Taylor.
The newest hotel is located Oceanside along the resort's mile long beach. It offers ocean or garden views from all guest suites. The architectural theme continues with a Mayan influence, but expands to provide a modern twist on Mayan style. The hotel's Lobby is three stories and opens to the sea with a spectacular view. The property is accented with wrought iron trim and cobblestone walkways creating a warm and welcoming Mediterranean influence. Each spacious guest suite includes a comfortable sitting area with two couches for lounging, as well as a desk, and sleeping area. The guest suites have two telephone lines and high speed internet access, cable TV and large resort bathrooms with walk-in showers and tubs. The new hotel will also add five new restaurants. There will be two international buffet restaurants open for breakfast, lunch and dinner serving an array of Continental, American and Mexican favorites. There will also be three specialty restaurants: a French Brassiere, a Brazilian Rodizio and a Caribbean Seafood Grill. The new hotel will also have its own expansive pool and beach area, as well as access to the resort's additional restaurants, amenities and conference facilities.
