Warmbrodt Advises in Sale of Clarion Sports Complex
KANSAS CITY, MO, August 28, 2006. Warmbrodt Hotel Investments, Inc. ("WHI"), a Kansas City based hotel real estate firm, announced today it advised in the sale of the Clarion Hotel Sports Complex located in Kansas City, MO. The hotel is located directly across the street from The Truman Sports Complex, home of the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Wizards. The property was sold by Terrapin Investors, LLC to WHP Kansas City, LLC for an undisclosed amount. Plans for the property include a major renovation and the addition of a 50,000 square foot indoor water resort, which is expected to dramatically increase demand at this location on a year-round basis. Upon completion of the renovation, the property will convert to Sheraton.
The 375-room property, including 20,000 square feet of meeting space is conveniently located at Interstate 70 and Interstate 435 in the heart of Kansas City. The central location is close to popular attractions such as Arrowhead Stadium, Kauffman Stadium, the Kansas City Zoo, Harrah's Casino, The Country Club Plaza, Westport, Union Station, the downtown core, as well as major employers such as H&R Block, DST Systems, Cerner Corporation, Hallmark and American Century Funds.
