Noble House Names Two VPs for Marketing and Sales
SEATTLE, WA, October 31, 2006. Noble House Hotels & Resorts, a privately held real estate development company that owns and manages boutique resorts across the country, has tapped two veteran hospitality executives to run its sales and marketing departments, naming John P. Davies, CHA, vice president of marketing and Ted A. Davis, vice president of sales.
According to Noble House President Greg Champion, John Davies will oversee the company's comprehensive marketing programs, including individual property and company-wide brand management and positioning, advertising, electronic and partner marketing and public relations. Ted Davis, the company's new vice president of sales, will compliment Davies in his efforts and will oversee all group, leisure and catering sales strategies and programs.
"We are thrilled to have both John and Ted join our team, and are now firmly positioned for great success in the coming year," Champion said. "Together they have a wealth of expertise and knowledge that will be invaluable as we continue to grow the company."
Both new appointees bring decades of experience to Noble House. John Davies has had a longtime association with the company, which he originally joined in 1998 as vice president of sales and marketing, successfully introducing an aggressive branding campaign. He assumes his new position after eight months of consulting work for Noble House, during which he spearheaded all corporate marketing programs.
With more than 25 years of hospitality industry experience, Davies was previously vice president of sales and marketing at Tiburon Hospitality Management in Carefree, AZ and has held director of sales and marketing positions with the San Diego Princess Resort in San Diego and Pointe Resorts in Phoenix. A native of Michigan, he holds a bachelor's degree in History and Political Science from UC Santa Barbara and is a Certified Hotel Administrator through the American Hotel and Motel Association. He also served in the U.S. Air Force.
Ted Davis was previously area director of sales and marketing for LXR Luxury Resorts, where he was responsible for the sales and marketing of 12 luxury properties, including well-known destinations such as the Boulders Resort and Golden Door Spa in Scottsdale, AZ; Peaks Resort and Golden Door Spa in Telluride, CO and Golden Door Spa in Escondido, CA.
The recipient of numerous industry awards, including "Hotel Sales Manager of the Year" awarded by the Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau, Davis began his career with the Hilton Hotels Corporation as a conference manager - steadily working his way up the ranks to regional director of sales and marketing. He hold's a bachelor's degree in hotel and restaurant administration from Washington State University.
