Pete Wood Named Assistant GM of Wyvern Hotel

PUNTA GORDA, FL, August 13, 2008. Pete Wood has been named Assistant General Manager of the Wyvern Hotel in Punta Gorda, FL. The property is professionally owned and operated by Burkhard Corporation in Westin, MA.
Pete will be involved in all aspects of hotel operations, with a primary focus on housekeeping. He has a background in Four Star, Four Diamond service having been Housekeeping Manager at the Boardwalk Inn at Wild Dunes in Charleston, SC. Most recently, he was Housekeeping Manager at the South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island, FL.

Pete earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History at Augusta State University in Augusta, GA.
He and his wife, Amanda, have lived in Punta Gorda for six years and have a three year old son, Casey.
