Brian Rosenberg Appointed EVP at Alrose Group
LONG BEACH, NY, July 25, 2008. The Alrose Group today announced the appointment of hospitality executive Brian Rosenberg to its Senior Leadership Team. Rosenberg, an 18-year veteran of the Garden City Hotel, was named executive vice president of the Alrose Hotel Group, reporting to Allen Rosenberg (no relation), founder and chief executive officer.
Rosenberg brings extensive hospitality expertise to the Alrose Group, most recently serving as vice president of the Garden City Hotel.
In his new role, Rosenberg will oversee the Alrose Hotel Group's luxury hospitality portfolio including -- the new and precedent-setting Allegria Hotel and Spa in Long Beach. He is leading the team in the construction and design of this 150-room lifestyle hotel, which also has the distinction of being the only new high-rise waterfront hotel on Long Island in over a century and the only waterfront lodging property west of the Hamptons.
Rosenberg is the executive in charge of all aspects of hotel development and acquisitions for the Alrose Group, and was the catalyst for bringing the company's president and founder Allen Rosenberg (no relation) to the bidding table for The Garden City Hotel, which is now in contract.
As one of the region's foremost hotel operators, in 2007, Rosenberg was at the core of building $32 million in revenue for the Garden City Hotel, the Island's leading luxury hotel. As a vice president and member of the leadership team, alongside the luxury property's owner, Rosenberg ensured the goals of the hotel, and the quality of service delivered by the hotel's 500 employees, would deliver high customer and community satisfaction. Under his leadership, attractive offerings for corporate and private clientele have brought The Garden City Hotel to a new level of success in the public's eye. Whatever hospitality one sought under the roof of the 280-room luxury landmark property, they found it thanks to Rosenberg.
Other management roles since 1990 include Vice President of Special Projects, Managing Director of Food & Beverage and, most recently, Vice President of Sales & Marketing. In these capacities, Rosenberg brought to life the vision for The Garden City Hotel's fine dining, banqueting and entertainment assets overseeing their construction and management. His accomplishments include the renovation of the hotel's grand lobby; the introduction of Rein Bar & Bistro, the first truly refined Manhattan-style lounge on Long Island; the management of the award-winning Polo Restaurant, rated #1 on Long Island by Zagat; the progressive re-branding of the hotel's once nightclub, Posh Ultralounge, now dedicated to chic private parties; and the hotel's selection as the first-choice venue on Long Island for conferences and special events.
