MIAMI, FL. July 24, 2008. General Manager Luis Aloma joins Hyatt Regency Miami with 26 years of experience in the hospitality industry. The appointment marks a return to Miami's largest business and convention hotel for the Chicago native who served as the hotel's food and beverage director in the early 90s.

Aloma's interest in the hospitality industry was honed his by his father, a Cuban immigrant who was a restaurateur, nightclub owner and professional baseball player for the Chicago White Sox. After graduating from Northern Illinois University in 1982, Aloma entered the business as an assistant manager at Hyatt Regency Chicago and served in various management positions at Hyatt hotels throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean. His expertise in food and beverage provides his Hyatt Regency Miami team with valuable insight for delivering outstanding service.

Outside of the office, Aloma enjoys spending time with his family, cheering for college sports and experiencing local culture and cuisine.
