David Cole Appointed Pre-opening DOSM at JW Marriott Chicago
Scheduled for Spring 2010 Opening in Chicago's Financial District
CHICAGO, IL, July 24, 2008. The 610-room JW Marriott Chicago, on track for a spring 2010 opening, is pleased to announce the appointment of David Cole as pre-opening director of sales and marketing. In his new role, Cole will be leading the sales and marketing team and will help implement the property's competitive edge pre- and post-opening. He brings over a decade of wide-ranging hospitality experience to this luxury property.
Cole is no stranger to the JW Marriott family; he was most recently the director of sales and marketing at JW Marriott New Orleans. Prior to that, Chicago served as his home base as he was director of sales at the Chicago Marriott Downtown and InterContinental Chicago. Before joining InterContinental, Cole spent seven years at various Hilton properties in Chicago, Houston, Minneapolis and Hawaii.
"When it opens, the JW Marriott Chicago, will bring the luster back to Lasalle St, and will be one of the leading upscale hotels in the market. Returning to Chicago to drive all marketing efforts and build the JW's sales team is exciting, and I am confident that the team will surpass expectations in transient and group markets," said Cole.
The JW Marriott Chicago, located in the heart of the windy city's financial district, will boast 610 oversized guestrooms, 125 luxurious suites and 48,000 square-feet of upscale meeting and event space, including two ballrooms. This converted Daniel Burnham designed building will feature a 20,000 square-foot spa, an amenity not found in most city center hotels.
