Sonny Sra Named to IAHI Board of Directors
DALLAS, TX, October 25, 2006. Sonny Sra, Senior Vice President of Remington and a highly respected hotelier with more than 32 years of industry experience, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of IAHI, the Owners' Association comprising members who own and operate InterContinental Hotels Group brand hotels worldwide. Joining the board for a two-year term, Sra was selected from a group of owners representing over 3,600 hotels. In addition to this position, Sra serves as vice chairman of IAHI's Crown Plaza Committee and a ranking member of the Priority Club Committee.

Sra joined Remington in 1991 and quickly rose through the ranks, serving in a variety of management positions including General Manager, Area Manager, Vice President and Divisional Vice President, before being promoted to his current position as Senior Vice President in 2000. He is a member of Sheraton's Marketing Advisory Board and Radisson's Franchise Advisory Board, as well as a past member of Hilton's Marketing Advisory Council. Sra also serves as a member of the Executive Committee and Board of the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Ft. Worth, Texas, and is a member of the Fort Worth Downtown, Inc. Board of Directors.
The IAHI Board of Directors, which comprises InterContinental Hotels Group senior executives and 25 owners and leaders in the hospitality industry from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Latin America, and Europe, the Middle East and Africa, is responsible for the endorsement of brand marketing plans, standards, rules of operations, and other strategic decisions.
