ROSEMONT, IL, October 16, 2006. First Hospitality Group Inc., based in Rosemont, Ill., has been awarded the "2006 Renovation Award" for their work on the Holiday Inn, located in the Chicago-Elk Grove, Ill. community. The award is granted annually by InterContinental Hotels Group. The announcement was made by Robert Habeeb, President of First Hospitality Group, Inc.
This prestigious award is given only to those hotels that merit special recognition for having successfully completed major modernization that has significantly improved the quality and image of their properties within the past year.
Conveniently located in Chicago's northwest suburbs and just minutes away from O'Hare International Airport & downtown Chicago, The Holiday Inn Chicago - Elk Grove hotel has been in the First Hospitality Group "family" since 1969, as it was originally built by the father of the company's current Chairman and CEO Stephen L. Schwartz. The wide-ranging renovation included a brand new restaurant and bar, upgraded sleeping rooms, and the addition of a business center. First Hospitality group also completely remodeled the hotel's lobby, atrium and pool area as well as all of the banquet and meeting rooms.
