. October 14, 2008

JULY 30, 2007. Following a $150 million refurbishment, the InterContinental London Park Lane has opened the doors of its long awaited Club InterContinental. Unrivaled on Park Lane for the views, space, service and amenities, the exquisite club lounge is an enclave for leisure or business guests, offering an exclusive retreat catering to both work and relaxation.

"InterContinental London Park Lane has set a benchmark for hotels across London by creating the largest and most unique club lounge in all of Europe," explains Roland Fasel, General Manager. "Not only do we have the most spectacular views of any club in the city, but our club offering, combined with our superior service, is sure to promote this space as the preferred club venue for visitors."

Located on the seventh floor, the custom-built Club InterContinental spans 2,400 square feet and features floor-to-ceiling, double-glazed bay windows that provide striking views of London's historic landscapes. Designed in a sophisticated palette of dark reds, browns and creams, the lounge has a tranquil feel, while solid, mahogany square tables and the central bar area create a chic and comfortable space to relax.

The Club is separated into distinct areas to fit the needs and activities of any guest. The central section is a dining area, with stunning views of the city. At the far end of the lounge, a relaxing library-style spot offers plush sofas and chairs. More secluded seating areas are available as well, providing privacy for guests conducting informal business meetings.

Club membership is complimentary to guests staying in suites, and non-suite guests have the opportunity to upgrade to Club membership for $165 per room, per night. The unique club package includes a buffet breakfast; afternoon tea with traditional scones, clotted cream and jam; and a two hour premium champagne cocktail bar in the evening. Unlimited snacks, soft drinks, coffee and tea are also available throughout the day.

Other amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi and Internet access; Bang & Olufsen TVs; Bose sound systems and iPod docking stations; an extensive library of international newspapers, magazines and books; and CD and DVD library.

For those seeking an 'in the know' London experience, Club InterContinental hosts will provide discreet 'insider' knowledge of bespoke and authentic London experiences via the hotel's Concierge team, from privileged shopping services to exclusive access to London's cultural landscape. A resident artist is also located in the Club, offering visitors a unique chance to see London through an artist's eye and capture the essence of the London scene from an incredible birds-eye view of Park Lane.

Club InterContinental is available to guests from 6:30am to 11:00pm daily.
