. October 14, 2008

AUGUST 20, 2007. IH&RA 's President Dr. Ghassan AIDI is delighted to announce that Amman, Jordan, will be the venue of the IH&RA 43rd Annual Congress to be held 18-20 October 2007 at the Amman Cham Palace. The congress will be hosted by Jordan Hotels Association, Jordan Restaurants Association and IH&RA Member Cham Palaces & Hotels (Washington,DC and Jordan). This decision was formally approved by the IH&RA Board of Directors.

Amman, capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, is a prime tourism destination and gateway to some of the treasures of the Middle East. Alongside Petra of world renown, Jordan can offer the traveler a wide array of attractions from archaeological sites to Omayades Castles, amazing desert scenery, the experience of Dead Sea swimming and the excitement of its Red Sea resorts. With a population of 1.5 Million inhabitants, Amman itself boasts an historic Citadel, its own Roman Theatre and several museums.

Each year, the IH&RA Congress gives hospitality industry professionals an opportunity to get a closer look at the industry practices of its host destination, with the venue changing each year (the 2005 Congress was held in Beijing, China; the 2004 Congress in Istanbul, Turkey...); but above all, the IH&RA Congress is the industry's only truly international event bringing together hospitality professionals from all over the globe.

More information on the Congress programme, registration and sponsorship opportunities will soon be available on www.ih-ra.com. Contact IH&RA on [email protected] or tel: + 33 (0) 1 44 88 92 20.
