CHICAGO, IL, September 8, 2005. United, Palm and Cingular Wireless are helping to keep customers connected when they travel. Customers will receive a free Palm Treo 650 smartphone when they book a paid, qualifying roundtrip or one-way flight of $500 or more on United, United Express or Ted, and activate a qualifying Cingular Wireless service plan.

Beginning today through Dec. 31, 2005, United customers have the opportunity to receive a free Treo 650 smartphone that combines a compact mobile phone with email, an organizer, messaging, access to the Internet, a camera and a MP3 Player**. The offer requires customers to activate the Treo 650 on a qualified Cingular Wireless data and voice plan***| with a two-year agreement.
