Travel Journalists Invited to NTA Convention

. October 14, 2008

AUGUST 28, 2007. Qualified tour operators, diverse destinations, suppliers from the United States, Canada and overseas, niche and specialty tours -- the pulse of what's happening now in the travel industry and what the future holds. Find it all at the NTA Annual Convention.

The National Tour Association Annual Convention (NTA) will be in Kansas City, Missouri, Nov. 2-6. Be there to get the story, meet the contacts and discuss the trends with thousands of NTA members.

NTA knows that the real story is on the business floor with the members. That is why we will help you make the connections. This year, NTA implemented a new service for members that helps them research their business appointments. We're taking that same concept and applying it to you. Let me know topics of interest to you. I'll do the research and connect you with potential sources for your story.

What's new and newsworthy for this year?

The Buyer-to-Buyer Exchange - During the Buyer-to-Buyer Exchange on Friday, tour operators will have the opportunity to both buy and sell during pre-scheduled appointments. NTA also has extended an invitation to professional travel buyers to attend Convention on Friday and participate in this Exchange. This will give NTA tour operators a way to sell their products directly to travel agents and bank and educational travel planners, to name a few.

The Destination Pavilion - Located on the Convention Floor, the Destination Pavilion will group destinations by geographic region. The new format will allow tour operators to shop regionally, based on geographic interest, which is a preference they have voiced.

CTP Announcement - NTA and Temple University have teamed up to create the most relevant certification program in the packaged travel industry. Join us in Kansas City were thefull curriculum will be announced.

Connect with NTA's leadership - Sit down with incoming chairman and CEO Bob Hoelscher, CTP, and other NTA Board members. Also, meet Lisa Simon, CTP, NTA's president. Let them tell you more about NTA's mission and vision.

And don't forget the Tour & Travel Exchange. Did you know that NTA was the first to introduce the prescheduled appointment show? Nearly every other industry show has copied NTA's format, but none can match it.

Don't miss the chance to join the best in the packaged travel industry Nov. 2-6, in Kansas City. As an editorial delegate, your registration is complimentary. Please complete the registration form and mail or fax it by Friday, Sept. 31.
