LAS VEGAS, NV, September 7, 2005. Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. announced today a $100,000 donation to the American Red Cross at a downtown St. Louis event. In making this contribution, the Company noted that the St. Louis region anticipates receiving approximately 2,000 Gulf Coast residents displaced by Hurricane Katrina.

"This contribution represents a small part of our total relief effort, but we understand the needs that St. Louis will face in helping Gulf Coast residents through this difficult time," said Daniel R. Lee, Chairman and CEO of Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. "Pinnacle continues to pay its nearly 2,000 employees in the area affected by Katrina. We have provided supplies to the area from our nearby properties in Lake Charles and Bossier City, Louisiana, and our New Orleans property now serves as a staging area for law enforcement and utility repairs on the West Bank of the Mississippi. We hope that our efforts will be matched by others in our industry, and by the many companies in St. Louis working with us."

Pinnacle owns two properties with varying degrees of damage, Casino Magic in Biloxi, Miss. and Boomtown New Orleans. The Company has previously announced its relief efforts in those areas, to help those communities and Pinnacle's employees rebuild their lives.
