Is the UK Ready for Travel & Tourism Growth?
SEPTEMBER 6, 2007. Already one of the largest industry's of the world, Travel & Tourism demand is set to outperform other industries, growing at an average rate of 4.3 per cent, per annum, globally, over the next ten years.
In the United Kingdom this growth is set at 3.3 per cent per annum and is forecasted to generate GBP341.4bn by 2017. However, continued inaction to address deepening infrastructure constraints is jeopardizing economic prospects and seriously affecting the experience of millions of travelers across the world.
On Tuesday September 11, 2007 at 11.00 the world's most prominent Travel & Tourism leaders, together with some of the UK's most influential decision-makers from across the industry, will address the fundamental question 'is the UK ready for this growth?' and speak out on the infrastructure issues affecting the United Kingdom's Travel & Tourism industry and wider economy.
The event will take place at the Hilton Hotel at Canary Wharf.
