Joie De Vivre Names Regional Vice President

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, September 17, 2007. San Francisco, California-focused Joie de Vivre Hospitality has promoted industry veteran Mark Polochak to Regional Vice President of Operations for seven of its South Bay boutique and affiliate hotels.

Polochak will be responsible for overseeing Joie de Vivre's properties in that region, as well as leading a regional team of Managers and Directors in the hotels' Accounting, People Services, Sales, and Revenue Management departments.

Polochak brings 20 years of progressive, grass-roots managerial experience to his position as Regional Vice President. His success is the result of his ability to develop strategic initiatives that improve the effectiveness and performance of the individuals on his team and in the hotels for which he is responsible.

Polochak joined JdV in January 2004 as the Regional Managing Director, overseeing the company's Silicon Valley properties. Prior to that, he held executive positions in Operations, Sales, and Food & Beverage management, most recently serving as the Regional Director of Operations with Larkspur Hospitality.

Originally from Sharpsville, Pennsylvania, Polochak holds a degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University, and is a member of Advisory Board for the Hospitality Program at San Jose State University.
