Denihan Appoints GM of The Benjamin in New York

NEW YORK, NY, September 18, 2007. Andrew Labetti has been named General Manager of The Benjamin, the 209-room luxury boutique hotel in New York City that is owned and operated by the Denihan Hospitality Group. Previously General Manager of New York's Hotel Wales, Labetti brings more than 16 years of New York City-specific experience to the new post. The appointment was made by Patrick Denihan, co-CEO of DHG and is effective immediately.

Labetti is no stranger to The Benjamin. He served in a range of management positions at the hotel from 1998 through 2003, including Front Office Manager, Director of Housekeeping and Assistant General Manager. In 2003, he joined Four Seasons New York as Director of Housekeeping before assuming the top post at The Hotel Wales. Labetti began his hospitality industry career with Loews New York Hotel as Assistant Director of Housekeeping and later moved to The Omni Berkshire Place in the same role.

Labetti is a graduate of the New York Institute of Technology in Greenvale, NY, where he earned a B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Administration. He has served as a member of the Labor Negotiations Committee of the Associated Hotels & Motels Association of Greater New York.
