. October 14, 2008

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ, September 19, 2007. Harrah's Atlantic City will unveil the final phase of the property's $550 million upgrade and expansion project in early 2008, when the property opens a new 961- room, 44-story hotel tower and "Taste of the Shore" food emporium featuring classic Jersey Shore culinary favorites. Reaching new heights in Atlantic City, the new Waterfront Tower will also make Harrah's the tallest hotel casino in Atlantic City and the second tallest building in New Jersey.

The new tower is the centerpiece of Harrah's Atlantic City's $550 million expansion project and will increase Harrah's hotel capacity by nearly 60 percent, offering a total of 2,591 guest rooms. The 961-room, 44-story hotel tower will feature eight super-suites and 104 suites luxuriously appointed with limestone floors, freestanding showers, fireplaces, in-room theaters and plasma televisions.

The first 12 floors of the new Waterfront Tower will open in Q1 2008, with the remaining floors opening through July.

Located on the first floor of the Waterfront Tower will be an innovative "Taste of the Shore" food emporium, offering irresistible eats that reflect some of New Jersey's favorite foods and snacks, including Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream; Philadelphia Pretzels; Starbucks; Sack O' Subs; and Primo Pizza. Additionally, the new "Reflections" 24-hour caf'e will join the food emporium, offering a full-service caf'e menu to guests throughout the day and night. The food emporium and Reflections caf'e will be located adjacent to The Pool at Harrah's, a new, 172,000-square-foot entertainment complex that boasts a 90-foot-high, glass-dome-enclosed tropical oasis containing a 23,000-square-foot, 86,000-gallon heated pool, six Jacuzzis, 12 cabanas, and indoor and outdoor deck areas.

"The opening of the Waterfront Tower will complete the debut of the new Harrah's Atlantic City," noted R. Scott Barber, senior vice president and general manager of Harrah's Atlantic City. "Our $550 million expansion project has truly transformed the Harrah's property into a major resort destination. The completion of this extraordinary tower and its high level of service offerings will ensure that we are better able to meet the increased needs of our loyal customers, while also welcoming new guests to share the unique and dynamic Harrah's Atlantic City entertainment experience."

Other newly introduced elements of the Harrah's Expansion Project include:

The Waterfront Buffet, which opened in February 2007 and features seven specialized culinary stations with cuisine from around the world;

The Waterfront Shops at Harrah's, a new retail promenade with seven distinctive shopping boutiques flanking a 10-foot-diameter, rotating globe with plasma televisions showcasing the locations of Harrah's Entertainment properties across four continents;

The Pool, a 172,000-square-foot, 90-foot-high, dome-enclosed entertainment complex with $1 million of tropical horticulture; and
