Rosewood Appoints Corporate PR Director

DALLAS, TX, September 24, 2007. Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, the premier manager of ultra-luxury properties throughout the world, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Kersten Rettig as Corporate Director of Public Relations for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts effective August 27, 2007.

With an impressive background in public relations and promotions, Rettig joins Rosewood Hotels & Resorts from her most recent position as Vice President and Regional Manager of BOK Financial Corporation in Dallas, Texas where she oversaw a $2.5 million annual budget and team of five marketing managers. Rettig began her public relations career as Account Executive at Nike Communications in New York before moving to Dallas to obtain the position of Vice President of Hyatt Hotels. Moving beyond the hotel industry, Rettig held a senior account position with Tracy-Locke Public Relations in Dallas prior to going out on her own as a freelance event planner and writer in Ft. Lauderdale, Houston and Orange County, California. In 1999, she assumed the position of Manager of Marketing Communications at Peranet, Inc. in Dallas before taking the role of Vice President and Manager of Bank of Texas.

Rettig's position will encompass strategic direction for global media outreach and corporate-initiatives for Rosewood. She will coordinate an international public relations campaign, as well as manage all global Public Relations agencies responsible for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. With six hotels opening worldwide in the next three years, she will lead the corporate communication teams in launching Rosewood Corniche (2007), Rosewood Mayakob'a (2007), The Mansion on Peachtree, A Rosewood Hotel (2008), Rosewood Sand Hill (2008), Rosewood Telluride (2009) and Rosewood Costa Carmel (2010). In addition, Rettig will oversee the Rosewood bi-annual in-room glossy magazine that is available for guests during their stay.
