Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. Establishes Relief Fund for Employees

MISSISSIPPI, September 6, 2005. Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. today announced plans to provide team members living in the areas affected by Hurricane Katrina with emergency relief as they recover from the devastation that hit the Mississippi Gulf Coast on Monday.

Hurricane Katrina has affected all of Isle's 1,150 team members on the Gulf Coast and the company is committed to providing general emergency assistance to its workforce. The Isle of Capri Relief Fund has been established with an initial $500,000 grant from the company. Additional funds will be accepted at any Isle of Capri Casino payable to Isle of Capri Relief Fund.

"Communication in the region remains an issue and we still have not heard from many of our team members. We ask them to make contact as soon as they are safe and communication is available. Many of them will have immediate needs such as food and clothing in the wake of Hurricane Katrina," said Tim Hinkley, president and chief operating officer. "We remain committed to helping our team members and their families recover as we move past this catastrophic event."

Isle-Biloxi and corporate team members can contact the company toll-free at 1-800-843-4753. Arrangements are being made to provide both hourly and salaried team members with their regularly scheduled pay in the immediate future. Specific details will be communicated directly to team members as they become available.

Isle of Capri corporate functions are operating from remote facilities; however, officials cannot predict when the Biloxi property and physical corporate headquarters will reopen. In other Isle news, the Isle-Natchez and Isle-Vicksburg both reopened this week following power outages in Mississippi.

Isle of Capri is working to assist in paycheck distribution to its workforce. All employees that are out-of-town should call 1-800-843-4753 to let them know which Isle property is closest to you and Isle will forward paychecks to that property. The check can be cashed at the Isle property where it is picked up.

Paychecks for employees in the Biloxi/Gulfport area will be distributed at the Isle of Capri Corporate offices on Popps Ferry Road from 10 am to 4 pm on Monday, Sept. 5 and Tuesday, Sept. 6. A team member ID or ID number or a driver's license is necessary in order to receive your check.

CLARIFICATION: Some stations are misreporting that Isle employees can get their paychecks immediately. Paychecks will NOT be available until Monday, September 5. It is vital that this information be rebroadcast as soon as possible. We greatly appreciate your cooperation.

Other Isle properties across the nation have begun hurricane relief efforts which include team members donating vacation days, preparing and serving meals to shelters, collecting non-perishable food and paper items, and sponsoring fundraising events among other things.

Isle of Capri management continues to work closely with federal and state officials to coordinate relief and housing issues for hurricane victims in Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Iowa.
