The Phase One re-imaging program was successfully unveiled in late 2004 which included the contemporary Caf'e Cha, the stunning Lobby Lounge, the signature Shang Palace Chinese Restaurant, the authentic Nishimura Restaurant, the vibrant Cloud Nine Bar, and the newest addition -- "Garden @ The Shangri-La" with full view of the hotel's beautiful 3000-square meter Chinese landscaped garden. Phase Two of Shangri-La Beijing's ambitious upgrade involves the construction of a US$50 million 20-storey Tower linked to the existing property. The new Tower is called the Horizon Tower and to be completed in 2006.
