Annual Four Seasons Teddy Bear Tea Open for Reservations

. October 14, 2008

BOSTON, MA, September 1, 2005. Today, Four Seasons Hotel Boston marks the start of the holidays, opening reservation lines for its celebrated Teddy Bear Tea, an annual fundraising campaign for children. Each year, the hotel donates thousands of new teddy bears to children through seven area non-profit organizations. The teddy bears are gathered in the hotel lobby as families arrive for a holiday afternoon tea and delivered weekly by Santa Claus to deserving children. This year, the hotel will add a Wishing Well for monetary donations, all of which benefit Children's Hospital. The Teddy Bear Tea includes peanut butter and jelly finger sandwiches in the shape of teddy bears, fireside story telling and other special treats. For many families, it is an opportunity for children to celebrate the spirit of giving while taking a respite from holiday shopping and preparations.

In addition to daily tea service in December, Four Seasons Hotel Boston is olding a Teddy Bear Tea kick-off celebration on Saturday, November 26 at p.m. The kick-off party will include arts and crafts led by The Kids Place volunteers www.kidsplaceforfun.com), story-telling with the Tea Lady, music, Build-A-Bear activities and a lunch buffet. Reservations are $40 per adult and $14 per child with $10 of every adult ticket benefiting Children's Hospital.

In support of this special event, Build A Bear will offer a discount toward the purchase of a Build-A-Bear at any of their area locations (www.buildabear.com).

Teddy Bear Tea is served daily in the Bristol, overlooking the Public Garden, from 3:00 to 4:15 p.m. from Thursday, December 1 through Saturday, December 24, 2003. Four Seasons is located at 200 Boylston Street between Charles Street South and Arlington Street.
