Boston Omni Parker Hotel, Boston, USA

The Boston Omni Parker Hotel is America's oldest continuously operating luxury hotel. Opened in 1855, the hotel currently has 551 rooms and suites that underwent an $80 million renovation. But behind the classy d'ecor and white linens lies a history that will chill even the bravest traveler to the bone. When booking through boo.com, you will never find room 303 open for reservation. That's because years ago, a businessman mysteriously died in that room, and from that day on, guests and members of the hotel staff reported smelling whiskey and hearing loud laughter coming from the room so frequently that the room was eventually turned into a closet. But paranormal activity doesn't stop there. Charlotte Cushman, a well-know 19th century actress, also died on the seemingly cursed third floor, and even now, one of the elevators travels up to the third floor without a button being pressed. The Boston Omni Parker Hotel encourages guests to give feedback about their experience at the hotel. Mr. Harvey Parker, the hotel's founder who died in 1884, was particularly passionate about keeping his guests happy. He has been known to appear in guest's rooms to ask about their stay!

Ocean Edge Resort, Brewster, USA

Located in the historic town of Brewster,Massachusetts, the Ocean Edge Resort is well-known for its things that go bump in the night. Originally the facility was the Nickerson Mansion, built by a man named Samuel Nickerson in 1906 for his wife, Addie and their son, Ronald. Shortly after its construction, the masterpiece mansion caught fire and burned to the ground. Two weeks later, Samuel and Ronald mysteriously passed away. A Victorian mansion was erected in the Nickerson Mansion's place in 1912 and still stands today as part of the National Register of Historic Places. It is rumored that Addie's ghost still wanders the halls mourning the loss of her son and husband. Guests at the Ocean Edge Resort are encouraged to purchase the "Spooky Package" which includes a flashlight and a guided ghost hunt for Addie's spirit, the use of the hotel Ouija board, a jack-o-lantern of treats and more.

Georgian House Hotel, London, England

Located in London, the Georgian House Hotel is sure to give guests a thrill. Built in 1851 by William Chinnery Mitchell, the hotel was originally created from the private Chinnery residence. Among the enchanting, blue stained glass and charming fireplaces is a mysterious and ghostly presence. Guests and staff members have reported having visions of two ghosts in the form of children occasionally playing on the top floors. The sights became so frightening that one of the managers asked the ghost children to remain upstairs so they don't disturb the guests, and they have obliged. However, these children are not the only supernatural inhibitors of the Georgian House Hotel. An unknown man haunts the basement staff rooms, and a ghost has also been seen in the kitchen and on the top floor in one of the bedrooms. Although they are sure to give guests goose bumps, these ghosts are harmless and tend to only appear for a few minutes.

Hotel Scandinavia, Venice, Italy

The Hotel Scandinavia is located in the city of Venice, well-known for being a hot spot for paranormal activity. The hotel, which dates back to the year 1000, stands near one of the most famous haunted sites in the city, The Bridge of Sighs. Locals will confirm having heard groans, sighs and whispers coming from the bridge, which once connected the Doge's Palace to a prison. Also known as a city for romance, legend has that lovers who visit Venice will be assured eternal love if they kiss on a gondola at sunset under the bridge. While visitors may seek refuge away from ghostly apparitions in their rooms, no one is safe from the temptation to explore Venice and therefore the chilling encounters and hidden secrets of one of the most haunted cities in Europe.

Relais dell'Ussero, Pisa, Italy

Located in a fifteenth century villa, the Relais dell'Ussero hotel in Pisa is a stunning 12 room hotel surrounded by an ancient Italian park. According to legend, the land around the villa is haunted by the apparition of Teresa della Setta Bocce Gaetani, a beautiful woman and member of the Pisan family, married in 1755 to the Count Cosimo Baldassarre Agostini. She appears frequently in the hotel, playing not-so-practical jokes on the guests and staff. Teresa enjoys moving tapestries or ornaments, slamming doors and opening windows. According to locals, she arrives by the light of the full moon leading a horse-drawn carriage to gaze at her previous home. The mischievous Teresa has also been known to glide along giggling in the passages beneath the villa's large wine cellars. One evening the entire villa was filled with the sound of the crystal chandeliers crashing to the ground. However, when the staff went to investigate, the chandeliers were still attached to the ceiling: another trick by Teresa.
