HFTP Donates $5,000 Towards Hurricane Katrina Relief

. October 14, 2008

AUSTIN, TX, August 30, 2005. Hurricane Katrina, the destructive Category 4 hurricane, has impacted the hospitality industry and devastated many of ospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) members' properties. With concern and in anticipation of the support that will be needed, HFTP announced today that it was donating $5,000 to the American Red Cross for relief.

Also, to serve as a communication center, HFTP has created an area on its site, at www.hftp.org, where members can post messages regarding their experiences during the storm and their current status.

"HFTP's sense of community is one of the best things we offer as an association," said Frank Wolfe, CAE, HFTP executive vice president and CEO. "In times of need, our members have always helped out and many are already in the process of doing so. We would like all members to know how the HFTP community is faring in the wake of the storm."
