INCLINE VILLAGE, NV, November 20, 2007. Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa & Casino is pleased to announce the appointment of new Director of Food & Beverage David Lockard. A native of California, Lockard's twelve-year professional career with Hyatt Hotels has included a steady stream of success at properties across California and Colorado; including Beaver Creek, San Francisco, San Diego, Indian Wells, and Newport Beach. In his new position at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa & Casino, Lockard looks forward to bringing his unremitting enthusiasm and drive for excellence to the luxury resort.

Experience and Determination: Attending Northern Arizona University for general studies, Lockard discovered the university's exceptional Hotel and Restaurant Management Degree program and switched focus sophomore year, "I didn't even know such a thing existed." Applying for an internship with Hyatt Regency Beaver Creek at a senior year job fair, Lockard was deemed overqualified and instead offered the opportunity to compete for the position of Food & Beverage Supervisor. To show his initiative, Lockard purchased a plane ticket to Denver and drove two hours to meet with the Director of Food & Beverage of Hyatt Regency Beaver Creek personally. His enthusiasm won the team over, and Lockard was hired.

Lockard's illustrious career with Hyatt Hotels continued in 1997, as he became Banquet Manager at Grand Hyatt San Francisco, followed by Assistant F&B Director at Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego beginning in 1999. In 2001, Lockard was promoted to Director of Food & Beverage and relocated to Hyatt Regency Newport Beach. Lockard was challenged with his first resort property in 2004 as Director of Food & Beverage at Hyatt Grand Champions Resort, Villas and Spa. In October 2007, Lockard joined the team of Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa & Casino.

Proven Success: As Director of Food & Beverage, Lockard looks forward to his position overseeing the operations of all of Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort's outlets. He is enthusiastic about the many culinary initiatives he will be implementing, especially at the award-winning Lone Eagle Grille. Plans include Chef!|s Tables with Chef Brian Mottola and specialty dinners featuring inspired, thematic menus. Lockard is also excited to introduce a Lone Eagle Grille with even more shine by the end of December. Refurbished carpets and chairs, elegant mountain stonework, and new hardwood floors in the stunning "Eagle's Nest" room are included in the plans.

Of working with Hyatt Hotels & Resort, Lockard says, "I couldn't picture myself working anyplace else. It's really everything I thought it would be." Over the years, Lockard has had the opportunity to experience new cities, meet new people and take on new challenges, adventures and responsibilities on a daily basis. He has met presidents and movie stars and managed spectacular functions for up to 10,000 guests. Lake Tahoe's matchless beauty makes this one of his most inspiring moves, "Sometimes, I just walk to the Lake's edge outside Lone Eagle Grille and take a deep breath. I can't wait to show this to my children." Joining him in Lake Tahoe are Lockard's wife of ten years, Michelle, and their three children; Johnathan (8), Allison (6), and Sarah (2).
