NOVEMBER 28, 2007. The famous Cliffbreakers River Resort, the destination of choice for many of the Midwest region's best weddings and most important events, is flying the Lexington Collection flag.

Known for its Old World style, combined with modern amenities, the newly Lexington Cliffbreakers Riverside Resort is the crown jewel of the Midwest. The hotel has 105 uniquely designed suites that are enhanced with antique furnishings from the Victorian, French, Bavarian, Mediterranean, and English Regency eras.

More than 300 antiques adorn the hotel, thus creating an inviting and whimsical charm for guests. The collection includes pieces from Barclays bank in London, New York City's Grand Central Station, the famed McCormick Mansion of Chicago, the Peachtree Hotel in Atlanta and other antiques from as far away as Florence, Italy.

The Lexington Cliffbreakers River Resort offers 27,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, a 65-person amphitheatre, and three ballrooms overlooking the beautiful Rock River. The property features a restaurant with executive chef extraordinaire, Philippe Forcioli, one of the top chefs in the region.

"Cliffbreakers is one of the nicest, full-service hotels in the entire region. Its unique style and impeccable d'ecor make it special - like our other premier Lexington properties." said Steve Belmonte, President & CEO of The Lexington Collection. "We're tremendously excited to have Cliffbreakers as part of our fast-growing Brand. We're focused on hotels that push quality in everything they do and Cliffbreakers does exactly that."

"We are particularly excited to reintroduce the property to businesses in the greater Rockford and Chicagoland markets for their business meetings, visiting executives, and customer gatherings," said Michael Ellis, owner of the Lexington Cliffbreakers River Resort. "We continue to enjoy the strongest wedding business in the area because of the beauty of our natural setting and our fabulous collection of antiques, matched with our world-class food and unparalleled service. Moreover, because of Lexington's extensive resources, we are excited about our revenue potential."

As The Lexington Collection- an innovative and affordable alternative to franchising - continues to make a major impact in the industry, additional announcements on strategic and operational developments will be made.
