Cumberland Hotel Introduces Unusual Service

Dinner party cheating service introduced at London’s Cumberland Hotel

. October 14, 2008

LONDON, UK, December 13, 2007. London's luxury Cumberland hotel has introduced a bespoke and unusual service for guests staying with them this winter - a Christmas party cheat sheet. The sheet available daily throughout December is designed to bring busy guests up to date with current news from the worlds of entertainment, arts, business and sports. This in turn saves any blushes from lack of knowledge during dinner party conversation and ensures guests look as hip and up-to-speed as other clued up guests. Designed to be read and memorised in 10 minutes, it's perfect for the cab journey to Christmas parties.

It also has a glossary of cheat words and 'did you know' type facts which guests can throw into conversation to dazzle and most importantly get the conversation back on track should it dry up at their table.

Stuart Chappell, general manager said "We know how busy people can be round this time of year and understand the importance of looking 'in the know' at Christmas parties. The service is proving a hit with our guests particularly the international guest who may not be familiar with conversation at their table about people like Turner Prize winner Wallinger."
