TeleAdapt and Sony Partner

Making it Easy for Hotel Guests to Use their Portable Electronics with the In-room HDTV

. October 14, 2008

SPARKS, NV, January 8, 2008. TeleAdapt proudly announces a vendor relationship with Sony(R) that will facilitate a high-tech, in-room entertainment experience for hotel guests across America. This vendor relationship gives guests the ability to experience their music, photos, videos and other multi-media content from their own personal portable electronics on a hotel room's flat screen HDTV.

Around the world, the latest trend in electronics is devices that enable people to take media content such as music, videos and photos, anywhere they go. Today's hottest devices range from iPods to DVD players and from smart phones to digital cameras, most of which are multimedia enabled. And now, thanks to the TeleAdapt MediaHubTM and the vendor relationship with Sony, more hotel guests can enjoy their personal audio and video like never before. Guests can simply plug and play to experience their music, photos, movies, games, or computer documents on a state of the art Sony LCD. The MediaHubTM solution is helping hoteliers offer their guests a higher level of comfort and entertainment by freeing them from using headphones and small screens during their stay. Ultimately, the offerings made available through this vendor relationship will enable hotel operators to help differentiate their property from the competition.

Through this vendor relationship, Sony will provide its hospitality customers with an optional connectivity panel from TeleAdapt called the MediaHubTM. The MediaHubTM creates an in-room connection point where hotel guests can seamlessly connect their laptop, iPod(R), MP3 player, iPhone(R), digital camera, camcorder, PDA, DVD Player and/or game console to a hotel TV and speaker system. Sony has worked with TeleAdapt and tested the MediaHubTM, to ensure compatibility with their hospitality televisions and will now begin offering it to hotels as an optional accessory for its TVs. This tested and proven compatibility can alleviate installation and usability concerns for hotel operators.

In response to industry trends, last year Sony introduced high-definition professional-grade televisions designed for use in the hospitality market. Sony's hospitality division is recognized for high quality electronics and an intrinsic knowledge of the industry. Thus, the company has chosen to work with TeleAdapt to offer an even higher level of technology and flexibility with additional features via the MediaHubTM. Along with Sony's high-definition TVs, the MediaHubTM will help hoteliers create the ultimate in-room entertainment experience.

"Our vendor relationship with Sony will benefit hotels by enhancing guest experience, thus increasing loyalty and providing additional ROI for the hotel's HDTV investment," said Gordon Brown, CEO TeleAdapt. "We know from working with hoteliers that guests are beginning to expect this level of in-room connectivity for work and entertainment just as they came to expect high speed internet. The offerings made available through our vendor relationship with Sony are a solution that can be purchased today and hotels can adopt.

TeleAdapt has developed custom MediaHubTM colors, shapes and designs to match Sony TV designs. Sony's HDTV plasma screens and the MediaHub's non-intrusive, sleek design compliment a hotel room's interior d'ecor. In addition, TeleAdapt, through Sony, offers flush mounted, stand alone, or under TV bracket installation for the MediaHubTM.

Sony's hospitality division will offer sales, order fulfillment and customer and technical support for the MediaHubTM, which holds all UL, CE and FCC certifications.
