. October 14, 2008

PASADENA, CA, January 10, 2008. Langham will officially rebrand The Ritz-Carlton, Huntington Hotel & Spa in Pasadena to The Langham, Huntington Hotel & Spa with a ribbon cutting and Champagne toast, partnered with Mo"et Hennessy USA. The 100-year old landmark hotel is the second U.S. property for the international luxury hotel brand founded in 1865. The Boston property was purchased in 1996 and rebranded in 2004. The purchase of the Huntington Hotel and Spa by Langham Hotels International adds a West Coast property to the company's portfolio and signals the group's potential expansion within the U.S.

Initially, Langham Hotels International will invest approximately $25 million to thoughtfully upgrade some of the hotel's facilities, including gentle improvements to the landscaping and the cottages, as well as ensuring the award-winning restaurants and Spa remain the finest in the nation. With the heritage of the beloved property top-of-mind, Langham executives met with current hotel management, including managing director, Martin Nicholson, executive chef, Denis Depoitre, and current hotel employees, to hear their recommendations.

"Langham Hotels' dedication to elegance, innovation and superior personalized service has distinguished it as a premiere luxury hotel brand," said Dr. KS Lo, Chairman, Langham Hotels International. "These characteristics, when combined with our brand's rich 140-year hotel heritage and world-class management expertise, make The Langham a perfect match for the sophistication and charm of the Huntington Hotel and Spa."

The Langham, Huntington Hotel & Spa has been a renowned Pasadena landmark since 1907 and features 380 elegant rooms and 38 suites. It is the only AAA Five Diamond hotel in Pasadena and the closest to downtown Los Angeles. The hotel's luxurious facilities include its award-winning spa, recognized by Travel & Leisure as one of the top 10 spas in the continental U.S., and its Michelin Star-awarded "Dining Room," overseen by celebrated Chef de Cuisine, Craig Strong.
